With roots spanning over 60 years through the BB Group, the company has evolved into a leader in modern performance tuning, combining cutting-edge technology with real-world motorsport validation. As the official MaxxECU distributor for South Africa, we bring world-class Swedish engine management technology to local builders, tuners, and race teams.

Our Story
A Legacy of Performance
While the BB Motorsport name may be relatively new to the motorsport scene, our roots run deep — drawing on over 60 years of collective experience within the BB Group. From the earliest days of enthusiast garage builds to today’s high-performance racing machines, our journey reflects a lifelong commitment to motorsport and precision engineering.
Motorsport is in our DNA. Over the years, members of our team have been intimately involved in the full spectrum of competition: from rugged off-road racing challenges to high-speed circuit racing and the demanding world of hill climb events that blend raw power with pinpoint precision.
Our track credentials speak for themselves. We’ve campaigned our 1200+ hp Nissan GT-R, affectionately nicknamed “Harumageddon,” in competitive hill climbs and circuit events, capturing class wins and podium finishes. At the Zwartkops Top of the Hill Challenge, our GT-R drivers delivered class and overall honours in fiercely contested time-attack runs.
At the celebrated Simola Hillclimb — widely recognised as South Africa’s premier hill climb event — BB Motorsport has consistently showcased its engineering prowess, securing class victories and personal best performances. Both our GT-R and the massively modified Nissan Patrol Blackhawk have proven their mettle, climbing the iconic Knysna hill with blistering speed and reliability.
