The Racing Programme
At the heart of BB Motorsport’s racing programme is the Nissan GT-R R35 — a 1200+ horsepower machine that has dominated South Africa’s premier hillclimb event. Known as “Harumagedon,” this GT-R is not a showpiece. It is a weapon, engineered for one purpose: to win.
Every component of the build has been tested under race conditions at events like the Simola Hillclimb, where BB Motorsport has proven that their engineering delivers results when it matters most.

Simola Hillclimb
BB Motorsport is a consistent front-runner at South Africa’s premier hillclimb event — the Simola Hillclimb in Knysna. This is where engineering meets execution. The narrow, winding 1.9km course rewards precision, power delivery, and driver confidence — all of which depend on the quality of the build underneath.
Our 1200hp GT-R R35 “Harumagedon” delivered a dramatic winning run at the 2018 Simola Hillclimb, cementing BB Motorsport’s reputation as one of South Africa’s leading performance engineering operations. We continue to compete and develop, with preparations already underway for future events.
The GT-R Advantage
The Nissan GT-R R35 is not just a fast car — it is one of the most capable performance platforms ever produced. Its combination of a twin-turbocharged VR38DETT V6 engine and ATTESA E-TS all-wheel drive system makes it uniquely suited to hillclimb and circuit racing where traction is everything.
Power Platform
The VR38DETT responds exceptionally well to modification. With upgraded turbochargers, fuel systems, and engine management (MaxxECU), power levels from 600hp to well over 1200hp are achievable with proven reliability.
AWD Traction
The ATTESA E-TS system distributes power to all four wheels, providing superior traction off the line and through corners. In hillclimb racing, this translates directly to faster times.
Data-Driven
Every run generates data. We use MaxxECU’s advanced logging and telemetry to analyse, refine, and optimise the setup for each event. Performance is not guesswork — it is engineering.
